TINTYPES

The tintype process — wet plate collodion is photography at its most elemental. Each plate is hand-poured with collodion, sensitized in silver nitrate, exposed while still wet, and developed on the spot. The result is a one-of-a-kind image captured directly on metal, unrepeatable and alive with imperfection.
